Through all the cries for equality, freedom, and human rights throughout this election, there is one cry that rings louder in my ears than all the rest: the voice of the unborn. Without the sanctity of human life at the very core of who we are, I’m not sure America could ever truly be great.
My desire is not to trample on the rights of other adults, but if the lives of our silent little ones are not valuable to us, then what kind of a nation are we? We who have life will always have choices, and the opportunity to fight for those choices; those who are not given the right to life will never have a single choice.
My vote was first and foremost for the right of unborn babies, and although I know there is disappointment in the hearts of so many people right now, I truly believe that our entire nation will reap the benefits of the next presidency.
I am filled with hope for America!

Happy National Love Your Red Hair Day! It’s the very first annual one, and we milked it for all it was worth. š

These are my latest creations. Turquoise lumps in hues of green and aqua, wrapped in delicate sterling silver wire and hung on a silver plated chain. Made on the dining room table in the midst of a 4-year-old swirl of glitter, tempera paint, dried beans, glue, and cheese sticks.

Just posting some pics of Zia and Cash in their new costumes. We bought Zia’s tail and ears on Amazon, I made her shirt and skirt, and she put together the rest of her outfit. Cash’s kitty suit is completely handmade. The kitty tail turned out a little long, so I knotted it up to keep kids from stepping on it, and the kitty ears took some finagling to stay clipped on. In the end everything turned out just fine, and they both had a humdinger of a night at the school carnival.

So I thought you might get a kick out of my latest antics–antler antics, to be exact. Zia has a costume party at school Friday, and I’ve been making costumes for the kids (pics to come). Then, all of a sudden, I got the urge to dress myself up–to David’s open-mouthed astonishment.
I found this lovely set of antlers out in the woods, courtesy of a friendly aspen tree. Looks like it was made to order, right? It didn’t take long to become the crowning glory of my costume.
So without further ado, welcome to my world!
Hope you deerly enjoyed all the silliness. š
