back home in ny: cousins
I’m finally getting around to posting pictures from our NY trip, just a couple of weeks late. Our 11 days there was so packed full that I decided to post the pics in a series, instead of cramming them all together in one post.
Here is Gianna with Cash–she’s my little sister Sarah’s baby, three months younger than Cash. This is the first time we’ve met Gianna, and Cash’s first time meeting all his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We all went to see Sarah’s new house. It’s super cute and was built in the 1930’s. Out front are three of my brothers, Sarah, Cash, Zia, Gianna, and Mimi.
Sarah’s house became kind of a meeting spot. With everyone living in different places, we would meet there to go wherever we were going together. From left is Sarah, Hans, Kirke (the baby), Gianna, Mimi, and my big brother Seth. There are eleven of us in a 20-year span–Seth is 40 and Kirke is 20.
Kit, Seth, and Jacques. Jacques is smack in the middle, kid #6. He will be 30 this year. With the exception of Jacques and Franz, all the boys live in South Carolina at Seth’s house now.
Mimi and Sarah.
My sister Rahab (just younger than me) and Maddie. A bunch of us went to the zoo together, which was lots of fun and kind of funny. The zoo looked like something from a movie. We didn’t see a single zookeeper, and it was a little overgrown and swarming with black flies. I think we could have let the pythons out of their rickety boxes if we had wanted to.
Here are all the cousins. That’s Sawyer on the left–my brother Franz’s boy. He’ll be a year in July, and he was having a rough day, poor thing. We did get to see him happy later though, and he is so cute and funny.
Tired cousins.
Coming up next–our rainy camping trip at the beach!

Appleshoe,
Yup–fun times. It is hard to get us all together these days, so I was really glad all the siblings (except one) could visit at the same time we did.
