Looks delicious, I haven’t had a good frito pie in a while. Have you ever made it in the little bags?
i love how he was patiently waiting and finally went in for some chips !!! lovely pictures… have a great weekend.
Ha! Mia probably has no idea what you are talking about Stacey.
When I was growing up in SFe, we used to sell frito pies at bake sales, garage sales, or baseball games using this method: Small Frito chip Bags, red chile, beans (pinto of course), cheese, onions (optional). Open the frito bag, pour everything inside, and hand it over with a spoon/fork/spork. We would make a literal killing and then blow all the money on candy or something crazy.
Thanks for the memories!
Yeah….I was just going to say I’m too much of a gringo to have any experience with the intricacies of Frito pies, but that David grew up eating them that way. I’ve heard stories of how much better they taste in the little bag. š
Erica,
Yep, it’s almost like stop motion animation if you watch him in each pic–sit here quietly, get hand in position, jump and strike!
Looks delish! Have a wonderful weekend.
That just looks so good… that could easily become a Quebec thing too! LOL!
Have a great week-end xo
