rocky mountain wildlife

We drove up on those high peaks that are white most of the year. It was a little like being on top of the world–thrilling and just a tad scary. Here are some of the magnificent creatures we spotted up there:

Some interesting elk (why do they have no shaggy mane? Is it the time of year?)

A herd of bighorn sheep (mothers were collared)

More elk–lots of males together

A mother and baby moose. No pictures–David and Chase went walking in the woods and spotted them.

I love seeing these wild creatures. I have an itch to see some shaggy white mountain goats next.
