mrs. moose makes a visit

Up here in the wilderness, we had no trick-or-treaters stopping by on Halloween.  Actually, we did have one, but she came well before dark–and she wasn’t exactly looking for candy.

We were making dinner when something caught David’s eye through the window.  It was this moose cow, stopping by for a nibble on our backyard aspens.

She eyed us curiously.  I even went out to get pictures, but she wasn’t the least bit concerned or afraid.

Before we knew it, she had cozied up for a little nap–and we all thought it was pretty cool to have a moose in the backyard while we ate dinner!
