day at the park
It’s chilly here today, with a forecast of lots of snow, but last week we had some really beautiful days. Not that snow isn’t beautiful, of course. It’s just–well, you know. Anyway, it was 73 degrees in Boulder on Thursday, and that, to me, is beautiful. We just couldn’t resist going to the park for an hour.
The “rocket park” is lots of fun. That’s Zia up there in the top of the rocket.
She’s just like a little bird in a cage, don’t you think?
Here’s Cash, in a playground swing for the first time ever. Obviously, he wasn’t sure what to think of it.
But oh, grass? there’s nothing like sitting in grass for the first time in your life.
I am Boy, and I just realized I live on Planet Earth, which is completely covered with Something Wonderful.
Hm…is this stuff good to eat?
I dunno, but it sure feels funny.
Mmm. This box, now–that’s downright tasty.
Grass, sunshine, swings, and picnic lunches–sandwiched between so much cold and snow, an hour of a day like this can breathe life right back into your soul!
Oh fun! That rocket is very cool!
What a cute bird and little boy!!
Has Cash experienced sand yet? That’s a funny one to watch too. That’s a great park!
No sand yet…waiting for the “let me taste everything in sight” stage to be over first. He found some dirt from Zia’s mud cakes on the porch the other day, and before I knew it I had a brown mouthed babe. 🙂
I love everything about this post! Can’t wait until it warms up here.
