she decided she needed some bangs
So of course, she cut them herself. Alone in the closet.
We found her in a pile of curls, a newly found pair of baby scissors in hand. I just stared. Deja vu, all over again.
“Baby, I thought you weren’t ever going to cut your hair again.”
She avoided my eyes and stood up, skipping lightly past me. “You know, Mamma, sometimes little girls have to cut their hair. And their mammas just have to say, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t have done that’.”
Oh, really.
But I have to say, for a haircut in the dark with baby scissors and no mirror, she did a terrific job (much better than last time.) I hardly needed to fix it at all. I think the practice is really benefitting her, and she’ll probably be cutting all our hair before long. Then maybe an in-home business…at least till she learns to pedal a tricycle down to the nearest salon.
I kind of like her new haircut. It brings out her little freckles.
And her silliness.
Wow. If only all escapades turned out so cute. Sounds like life is never boring. š
too cute!
what a funny girl. cassie can hardly cut construction paper with her kid scissors, so hats off to zia and her skill.
She reminds me of my little girl who said (after cutting a chunk out of the side part of her hair two years ago), “Mommy I am still beautiful!!” HA! Here’s to outspoken, powerful little princesses of The King! š Merry Christmas!
We love her with long hair, short hair, bangs and no bangs! Mimi
