long, cold day
It was seventeen below zero this morning, and eleven below by the time I was on the road at 7:40 taking Zia to school.
Today she is trying out a full day to see how she likes it. The kids in her class are making snowflakes to decorate the city tree this afternoon.
I left her there busy and came back home alone
to find my silly cat boy teetering around the house.
What would I do this long, cold day without him?
He makes me smile all the way down to my toes, that boy.
Holy macaroni!!!! Seventeen below???? That’s insane!! We’ve been enjoying some mild weather here in New York and a little rain. Temps were in the mid 50’s today. We usually don’t get any real good bitter cold days until January. I think I’d be tempted to let my little one stay home if I had to go out in weather that cold!!! You’re a brave Mama!!!! : )

I have you beat… it was -25C today but I’m trying to shift my perspective and be thankful for the roof over my head, the clothes in my closet, and the love in my home.
Beautiful pictures.

Jennifer,
Ah–but I think I still have YOU beat! -25C is only -13F. But then, I guess it’s not really a contest, is it? Nice to know someone else is sharing in the frozen-ness, lol!
Wendy,
50’s? That is just not fair. Send some warmth this way!
We just got a dump of 8 inches in one night. Here’s to hoping for a real MN Christmas! I love that the city has the children decorate the tree and your sily cat boy made me smile to. Be well.
