a peek at our new home

We went back to take another peek at what will become our home sweet home next month. The day was drizzly and gray, but I dodged the drops and got a few shots.

The house was designed and built by the owners, a husband and wife team who created this place with both artistic and structural excellence. It’s so sweet, inside and out. They also built the log playhouse and put in the tiered flower garden.

It’s a great neighborhood, as you can see…we practically are the neighborhood! And that awesome dirt road is our “street”.  It will be great for slow walks and fast bike rides (as long as we watch out for mountain lions).

There are 2 nearby neighbors. We met one of them, who informed us that bears sit on his porch and look through the window at him. He also let us know that they get winter days of -40 degrees. Brrr and grrr.

Although I love the setting, I think the inside of the house is my favorite. It’s so cozy, although I have to keep in mind that it will look much different without the present furnishings, since we are moving in with hardly any furniture. But all that will come in time, and I know this place will truly be a sweet home for us.

    That is amazing! The view, the quiet and oh that playhouse! It seems like you guys found a really great place. 🙂 The bears and the -40 degree weather seem a little frightening, but that house and the area look like it’s totally worth it. I’m so glad you found a place!

    I love it! Can i move in with you? :-). I totally see you in this house, it’s just you! And Caleb! He isalmost as tall as you! He just seems like the sweetest kid. I just want to hug him! We are hoping to move back to Colorado, in another year….God willing. Maybe we will be closer!
