snapshots of life
David’s Grandma Josie passed away Monday night. In the midst of travel/visitation/funeral plans, I’ve taken a few minutes to notice the simple things around me. Life is a blink, even when you get 94 years of it. Here a few things I captured today on Planet Earth.
This girl who always has so much on her plate
and so many very important ideas
This boy who has to drink out of the smallest possible cup
This cozy sunny sleeping/working loft where we spend so much of our time
These five-finger shoes that I love to work out in (and wave to David with)
This guitar that I’m picking up again after years of enmity
And even when the dishes aren’t done and the house isn’t clean, my kids are loved, my man gets a kiss (but he has to wait till after I brush my teeth), my heart looks toward my Creator in thankfulness, my eyes take in these fleeting splatters of goodness all around me. This life is worth celebrating.
What are the snapshots of your life on the planet today?
Sorry to hear about your grandma. It’s weird when suddenly time seems to stand still for a little bit, but it’s a good time to reflect on how many things we can be thankful for. Your snapshots are lovely, I can tell you’ve got a very sweet family!
A nice picture for Great Grandma Josie from Zia….and I’m saying GOOD, GOOD, GOOD that you’re picking up the guitar again!! God wants to use your anointed worshipping to saturate the house and all who live there!! Cash is really starting to get his own “boy” look! Very cute.
Mimi,
Thought you would be happy about the guitar! And Cash DID have a nice look…until I chopped his hair yesterday. Now I think I might have to get a real stylist to fix it for him. Of course, he’s still cute no matter what. š
Yes, we LOVE the guitar around here, so nice! /:O)
Hi honeeee…..yay bring guitar please!!!!!!!! š
Hi Mom,
Oooooh…if I only had a hard case I could bring it on the plane!
Hi honeee…….yeah after review I guess juggling a couple of lil ones & a guitar would be a bit much ?!?! Can hardly wait to see y guys š
Mom,
Everyone here is buzzing around like a pack of bees…Zia is beside herself with excitement and bringing her tooth to show you!
Repeat: time for the tooth fairy š
Such lovely snippets of a beautiful life being well lived.
That picture from Zia to Grandma Josie made me teary… how sweet.
Wishing you a blessed day my dear. May you bask in the love a wonderful creator and a heavenly Father who loves you more than you could ever imagine.
xoxo
