jewelry from winterpark
Here I am taking pictures of me, and that usually means a bit of blur–especially in the mirror!
This is the aspen leaf set from Winterpark. I love the solidity of the pewter and I wear these all the time. I’m so attracted to nature-based jewelry, and I think the darker tone of these make them comfortable for wearing often. I don’t tend to wear bright jewelry much (although I do like a little sparkle here and there–remember the crystal moon and stars?)
Having said that, here is a brighter piece that I really love. It’s also from Winterpark, and it’s made from a real aspen leaf encased in resin. If you turn it over, the back of the leaf is metallic gold with veins, and you could definitely wear it that way, too.
It’s more fine and delicate than what I would wear on an ordinary day, so I may keep it for a special occasion (you know, like going to Chipotle for lunch or a date with David stacking wood in the yard.) š
Mostly, I think, I’m just glad to have some aspen leaves to admire until the real ones come back in the spring!

That was Franz that called me Minna–I thought of that, too! And, yup, I’m gaining. I’m back up to what I weighed this time last year.
