There’s a steep little hill near the top of our driveway. This morning’s sunrise out our back door…is that a fiery angel streaking by? A little snowflake prism David got for me, against the early morning kitchen-window backdrop. The reflection of some little white lights Caleb and I hung last night. Have I mentioned how I love living in these mountains?

She’s got her own snowshoes now, and she puts those things to work. We went yesterday, up and down the hills and through the woods. She trucked along, flipping over now and then, and climbing back onto her feet without a whimper. I love that girl…and we love this wonderland of a place.
