keeping brother
Saturday Zia and Caleb each picked out a brand-spankin’ new pair of cowboy boots, and Sunday Dadda and Caleb hit the trail for New Mexico. Another court hearing there today has hopefully been the last. After speaking with Caleb in private, the judge ruled to give us physical custody. He also mentioned that Caleb is the most respectful, level-headed 12-year old he’s ever spoken with.
Our boy gets to keep living with us, and we are really happy.
A certain five-year old might just be the happiest of all. She’s got some mighty big bootprints to follow in, and I couldn’t have handpicked a better big brother for my girl (and my boy).
We’re so glad you’re staying awhile, Caleb!
