dall’s sheep painting

Just finishing up my latest oil painting. It’s a Dall’s sheep, which live in Alaska, the Arctic, Yukon, and other northerly climates. I started this in the painting class I took Zia to this summer at our library, but ended up spending my time there listening to the lectures and not painting much. The oils have been able to dry nicely between coats, and it actually worked out well to prolong the process.

Just a few more finishing touches, and I’ll be done. šŸ™‚
