s’no surprise
There’s snow in the mountains!
Here are the same mountains, just hours before I looked up and saw they had turned white. You can see there was just a bit of snow left from springtime. With the heat and drought, the mountains have been oddly bare this summer. It seems right that they are white again.
And with the snow comes the color…down in our neck of the woods, the aspens have changed.
I love fall, even though it means winter is around the corner. Zia and I go for little hikes (with Cash in the Moby) and the woods smell incredible. I can’t get enough of the crisp coolness and the amazing colors.
When we get home, David has a cozy fire roaring in the woodstove, and it smells almost as good inside as outside.
Come to think of it, winter here isn’t that bad, either…armed with a bit of Colorado sunshine and a couple of pairs of snowshoes.
I love these mountains.
Stunning photos! We are still pretty green and warm around here…no fires yet. Have a lovely weekend!
Gorgeous! We are just beginning to have gorgeous fall leaves!
Looks like such a nice place to live! š
