community thanksgiving dinner

Yesterday was our town’s annual free Thanksgiving dinner.  It’s our second year here, and the gathering is lots of fun…and super yummy!  The town provides the turkeys (37 this year!), gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing–cooked up and served by a host of volunteers. The days have been cool here.  David has been working in Boulder, and Caleb had a long weekend off school.  The kids and I have been spending some cozy time in the house–making enchiladas, whole wheat biscuits, and today, preparing pumpkins for Thanksgiving. Just born yesterday, Zia, Cash, and Caleb have a tiny new cousin in New York State. Welcome, Gianna! (And congrats, Baby Sadie Spuntelina.  Even new mommies can still be baby sisters.)
