welcoming summer

Our friends are about to head home. Our connection is a rare one, where even a 5 1/2 day visit wasn’t long enough. (With normal visitors, we have the “go-home-already” syndrome by day 3, just in case you ever come for a visit. Nothing personal.)

Of all the places we visited this week, all the things we did, I think our favorite was just hanging out, wading in the creek at the bottom of our road, taking walks on the dirt road, making dinner together, and enjoying each others company.

I can’t think of a sweeter way to welcome summer. I hope you are having a great beginning of summer, too!

Beautiful stream! We love our creeks and play in them most every day! My favorite part of this whole post is Zia.. crown on her head, wearing a cowgirl tee shirt! She rocks!

haha! I had to laugh at the “nothing personal”. Oh I know the feeling…you must have a very special connection with your friends for them to stay that long and still want more time. Wading in the creek looks like so much fun!
