a brand new shop!

I’m opening an online shop!

Poco Mountain Girl Shop is an exciting new venture to feature my handmade arts of all kinds!

The shop is very small to begin with, but the horizons are limitless…I have big things envisioned for this little enterprise!

On another note (yet completely the same note), here is a new hat I made for Zia. It pays homage to one of her very favorite foods: a juicy, red tomato.

I’m delighted with the results. Really, I was just trying to use up an extra skein of red yarn I had on hand, and halfway through was struck with the tomato idea. Now I have a whole assortment of other plans in mind for kids’ hats…of the edible variety.

Zia went wild over her hat. She wears it around the house, in the car, outside to play, at the library, at the bookstore, and practically every other place we go. People comment on it everywhere. One day, Zia finally turned to me in exasperation and said “Everybody loves my tomato hat!”

As for me, I think everybody should own a tomato hat.

Which leads me seamlessly back to where we began…the shop!

Please stop in and take a look. I’d love to hear suggestions of what you would like to see in Poco Mountain Girl Shop.

Incidentally, it features only one item at the moment…

Can you guess?

i have briefly thought about going raw before. the big thing is having recipes and following them. thank you for the name you gave me, are there other web sites with recipes that you would recommend?

    Hey Allison!
Here are a few websites with recipes that are great for getting started with raw foods. I really feel great since going mostly raw, and I have lots of energy all day! Thanks for asking about this. I hope it works out for you!

Oh my! What a wonderful idea! This is perfect for you. I have often thought, she could sell that. Like Charlotte, for instance. And mittens. I so look forward to seeing what you continue to add to the store. Woohoo.
