summer harvest

Our community garden is heavy with ripe produce. It’s so fun to see what everyone has planted in their plots.

This poor pumpkin somehow got stuck! It should be fun trying to get it out. The gardeners may have to make their pie right in the garden. šŸ™‚

Although the garden is brimming with lush produce, we have slowly weaned our little plot down, making use of every bit we planted. Because of our impending move to the mountains, I didn’t do a second season planting.

Yesterday we finally pulled up the rest and turned the soil under. (Yes, that hot guy is my husband.)

It’s strange to see our plot so bare! I’m not sure how much we will be able to grow up in the mountains, but we will certainly try. It’s been a great season here…we’re so glad we took part in our community garden, if only for a summer.

    Hey Mom!
Ok, I will get the pics to you. Caleb has changed a lot since babyhood, so yes, you really do need new ones! And of course, Zia is growing like a weed…or maybe like a little sunflower. šŸ™‚
I’m glad you liked the pillows, we are sooooo excited to be in our new house! You will HAVE to come see us now!
